FAQ's
1. What should I bring to the training sessions?
Basketball Sneakers, Water, If you haven't received your Academy Jersey yet you can wear anything comfortable for basketball.
2. How Many hours is the training?
Training sessions for ages 5-11 are one hour long and one and a half hours for ages 12-18
3. How many sessions per week should an athlete attend?
Most of our members attend a full two-days per week training which is highly recommended to benefit a whole lot more from the training sessions. Members also have the option of doing one-day per week or three-days per week depending on schedule and availability.
4. How many athletes typically attend?
Each location has a maximum of 20 participants per session (depending on facility size)
5. What is the player-to-coach ratio?
To maximize full training potential we keep a ratio of 10:1
6. What is the age range of the kids participating in the academies?
We have grouped the kids in three sessions: Session One: Ages 5-7, Session Two: Ages 8-11, and Session Three: Ages 12-18
7. Do you provide transportation?
MPAC Sports currently does not provide transportation to its members. All participants must arrange for their own mode of transport to and from the program.
8. Who are the coaches? Where are they from?
All of the MPAC Coaches are from the United States of America. They are very highly qualified athletes who have either played college basketball or the NCAA.
9. My child is a beginner. Can he/she attend?
It's nothing to worry about. The kids will be assessed on their first day of training and they will be grouped by skill level once they get to the actual academies.
10. Are they going to play games?
At the MPAC Sports academies, it's mostly skills training but sometimes participants play games within the academies. We do have the end-of-term academy games where all of our participants from different locations gather for a day of competition.
11. Does MPAC Provide Basketball Leagues? MPAC Sports will be launching the MPAC Youth Basketball League on March. It is the mission of MYBL to provide and promote a safe, recreational basketball program for for the youth of U.A.E and its surrounding communities.
